Mt. Hood Pomskies🐾

The Girl behind the Community

Nestled on the serene outskirts of Sandy, Mt. Hood Pomskies is more than a breeding program—it’s a culmination of dreams, passion, and the love of dogs and farm animals. Our founder, Devyn, has been enamored with canines from a young age, and her journey with dogs has been nothing short of destiny. She has always had multiple dogs in her life mostly Pitbull's (her other great love). Devyn is a lover of all animals and always knew wherever her life took her she would always have a dog (or 4) by her side. She is a #DOGMOM with no human children of her own she put all her mother-ness, love, and nurture into her animal babies. There isn't a thing on Earth she wouldn't do for her babies. Infact one would say not to even insult her dogs, or You'll see a side of Mama Bear you probably only thought was made up in nightmares. Her heart and soul are her fur-babies. She resides on 5 acres farm where she not only has her 8 dogs 4 are none breeding and rescues of her first love Pitbulls. She also runs a farm where she breeds Nigerian dwarf goats, rides her horses, and collects her eggs. She offers goat yoga, educational workshops, and private sessions for you and your pack to hang out on the farm. Soon she will be taking her farm animals mobile for events. She sells goat milk goat products and farm fresh eggs. Her farm Bucking chaos farms even has merch coming soon!

The Spark of Passion

Devyn’s path to founding Mt. Hood Pomskies began over a decade ago, sparked by a chance encounter with a manager who bred Pomeranians and was venturing into Pomskies. Research led to fascination, and fascination turned into love when she met a small, 15lb red/chocolate Husky that mirrored her beloved Simba. This Pomsky not only captured her heart but also ignited a desire to share this enchanting breed with the world.

A Mentor’s Guidance

Under the mentorship of Sean Manning, the esteemed owner of Northwest Pomskies, Devyn honed her skills in responsible breeding. ALL her current Pomskies were obtained from Northwest Pomskies and their parents were also Embark tested.  Even after Sean’s retirement, his wisdom continues to guide her through the tough terrains of not just Pomsky breeding but breeding in general, He has helped Devyn and her fiancé in ensuring that Mt. Hood Pomskies upholds the highest standards in breeding practices and can ensure that they are in fact responsible and ethical breeders.

A Labor of Love

For Devyn, breeding Pomskies is not a pursuit of wealth; it’s a labor of love. Each Pomsky is bred with care, aiming to bring families their very own “Thumper”—a companion full of character and charm. Devyn’s advocacy for ethical breeding is unwavering, as she believes in the importance of bringing healthy, well-tempered, and joyful Pomskies into the world. In addition to the Pomskies they own, they also have 4 other dogs who are fixed and also Embark tested. Two were rescues and two were not. She is a firm believer in not funding the shelters with more dogs and that is why she has the lifetime support guarantee. She also has it in the contract if you must for ANY reason rehome or "GET RID" of your Pomsky puppy you obtain from them they will gladly take back any other dogs.

A Dream Realized

None of this would have been possible without the support of Sean Berglund, Devyn’s fiancé, biggest cheerleader, and investor, and not so Quite "silent Partner. Together, they’ve created a haven for Pomskies and Nigerian dwarf goats—another breed with a playful personality that Devyn adores—on their sprawling 5-acre farm Where is offer weekend workshops for children to get hand on experience of farm life, she also offers Goat yoga as well. The dogs are spoiled on when people come and visit and honestly, they probably live a better life then most currently are.

"They own this house, We just live here."

A Community Vision at Mt. Hood Pomskies

For Devyn, the founder of Mt. Hood Pomskies, the vision extends far beyond the horizon of traditional breeding. Her aspiration is to cultivate a community—a family bound not just by the love for Pomskies but by shared experiences, values, and the collective joy that these furry companions bring. Mt. Hood Pomskies isn’t merely about gifting families with a new member; it’s about creating a network of support, education, and camaraderie. Devyn envisions a space where Pomsky owners can connect, share their stories, and grow together, fostering a sense of belonging and unity. This community spirit is the heartbeat of Mt. Hood Pomskies, where every Pomsky is a thread in the tapestry of this ever-expanding family.

public service announcement:

DEVYN IS A DOG OBSESSED DOG MOM, WHO WANTS TO SHARE QUALITY AND HEALTHY POMSKIES TO PEOPLE WHO DESIRE TO HAVE ONE. SHE DOES NOT WANT TO SEE ANYONE OWNING A POMSKY WITH BAD BREEDING OR HEALTH ISSUES DUE TO UNAFFORDABLE PUPPIES. SHE IS NOT IN THIS TO GET RICH. SHE HOPES TO BE ABLE TO UTILIZE THIS TO ALSO OPEN UP PART OF THEIR FARM TO ALSO BRING IN SOME RESCUE DOGS TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY.

SHE IS ONE OF THOSE CRAZY DOG MOMS THAT WOULD "CATCH A CHARGE" FOR HER DOGS.
